Rate Monitoring & AutoSave

Last updated April 29, 2026

How does Room Rate Monitor work?

Gondola continuously monitors refundable hotel bookings in your Trips for lower rates. When a rate drop is detected for the same room and rate type, you receive an alert. With AutoSave enabled, eligible stays are automatically rebooked at no additional cost.

How does AutoSave save me money?

Enable AutoSave and link a payment card on your Trips page to authorize Gondola to automatically reprice any refundable hotel reservation at the new rate. When price reductions occur, Gondola updates your reservation and you keep all the savings. You can still use a different card at check-in to earn the rewards you want. Gondola travelers save an average of $413 a year from AutoSave.

Can I use different cards for different reservations?

Yes. Gondola bookings automatically use the card you booked with. For any reservation, you can choose a different card from the Manage > Payment Method option on the trip card. This lets you direct rewards to the right card for each stay. If no per-stay card is set, Gondola uses your default auto-save card.

Do I have to book through Gondola to get price drop alerts?

No. Gondola monitors any refundable hotel booking added to your Trips. Rebooking through Gondola provides an extra 3-7% back in Gondola Cash alongside direct booking benefits.

Will Gondola monitor my points reservations for price drops too?

For hotels, yes. Both points and cash hotel reservations are monitored, and refundable points stays can be repriced through AutoSave just like cash stays.

For flights, no. Award flights paid with points aren't monitored today. Flight monitoring and AutoSave only apply to paid fares.

How does flight fare monitoring work?

Gondola Silver and Gold subscribers receive fare tracking for eligible flights on Air Canada, Air France, Alaska, American, British Airways, Delta, Emirates, Frontier, JetBlue, Qatar Airways, Southwest, United, and Virgin Atlantic. Price drop notifications enable timely rebooking decisions.
